Run Your Install Crew Like a Pro

Sign shops that do installation juggle more variables than any other shop type — weather windows, travel time, crew availability, permit status, vehicle logistics, and client site access. Meet SIGNEXA's Installation Operations module brings all of it into a live, filterable dispatch board so nothing gets missed on install day.

Live Weather Risk Checks

Each install job is automatically checked against live weather forecasts for the install site. Flag weather-sensitive jobs before a crew drives out.

Crew & Vehicle Dispatch

Assign installer teams and vehicles to each job. See every installer's schedule at a glance and catch conflicts before dispatch.

Route Classification

Jobs are automatically classified as Local, Regional, Long Distance, or Multi-Day based on estimated travel time from your shop. No surprises on the road.

Dispatch Board with Full Job Context

The installation queue shows every install job bucketed by status: Ready, Needs Info, Today, Upcoming, and Blocked. Click any job to see the full dispatch panel — client, site address, scheduled start, assigned crew, vehicle, estimated install duration, travel block time, weather status, and any missing info warnings. Each warning is categorized: missing address, missing duration, missing installer, missing vehicle, or permit pending — so you can fix issues before they cost a trip.

30-Day Calendar, Route Planner & Installer View

Switch to the 30-day calendar to see your installation load spread across the month — each day shows scheduled installs with weather status. The Route Planner tab aggregates total install time, known travel time, and flags any long-distance or multi-day jobs. The Installers tab gives a per-crew view of assigned jobs and schedule density. Readiness filters let you isolate jobs by stage: artwork pending, proof pending, in production, or ready for install.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Installation Operations & Dispatch.

How does live weather checking work for installation jobs?
When you view the installation queue or refresh a specific job, Meet SIGNEXA fetches a live forecast for the install site address using the Open Meteo API. Jobs are rated by weather sensitivity — None, Low, Medium, or High — based on the installation type. High-sensitivity jobs (outdoor electrical signs, vehicle wraps in rain, aerial installations) are flagged before you dispatch a crew.
What if an installation job is missing required information?
The system detects five readiness blockers: missing address, missing estimated duration, missing installer assignment, missing vehicle assignment, and permit pending. Each warning appears as a visual indicator on the dispatch board row. Your coordinator can filter by "Needs Info" to work through outstanding issues before install day.
Can I track permit status for jobs that require city permits?
Yes. Permit status is tracked on each installation record with statuses like Not Required, Applied, Pending, Approved, and Expired. Jobs with a pending permit surface in the missing-info filter and are visually flagged on the dispatch board so they're never accidentally scheduled before approval arrives.
What types of sign installations does the software support?
The Installations module handles any type of field job — monument signs, channel letter installations, window vinyl, vehicle wraps, building wraps, trade show setups, LED retrofits, directional signage, and multi-site rollout campaigns. Jobs are classified by route type (Local, Regional, Long Distance, Multi-Day) based on travel distance from your shop address.
How does the installation module connect to job tickets and shop floor?
Installation jobs are linked to their parent job ticket in the Shop Floor. When the production job reaches the "Ready for Install" stage, it surfaces in the installation queue automatically. Dispatch boards, calendars, and crew assignments all reference the same record — no duplicate data entry between production and field operations.
Can installation crew log notes from the job site?
Yes. Installers can update job status, log completion notes, and capture site photos from their phone via the mobile interface. Site photos attach to the job record and are shared with the client portal — providing visual confirmation of installation quality without requiring office follow-up.
