Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Core Accounting Suite — Built In.

Does Meet SIGNEXA replace QuickBooks completely?
For most sign and print shops, yes — with one honest caveat. The native Accounting Suite handles double-entry bookkeeping, P&L, balance sheet, A/R, A/P, payroll output, tax reports, and manual bank reconciliation. The one feature not available natively is automatic bank transaction import (live bank feed). You can import bank statement CSVs manually for reconciliation, or connect QuickBooks, ZohoBooks, or FreshBooks to sync your data with your accountant's preferred platform. Most shops find native bookkeeping is more than enough once their invoices and expenses flow in automatically.
Is it true double-entry accounting, or just income/expense tracking?
Full double-entry. Every transaction posts a corresponding debit and credit to your Chart of Accounts. The General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Balance Sheet balance at all times — giving you audit-ready financial records, not just a simplified cash register summary.
Can I still export to QuickBooks or Xero if my accountant requires it?
Yes. Native integrations support one-click exports to QuickBooks, Xero, ZohoBooks, and FreshBooks. Run day-to-day bookkeeping in Meet SIGNEXA for the connected job-cost workflow, then export to your CPA's preferred platform at tax time.
How does bank reconciliation work in Meet SIGNEXA?
Import your bank statement CSV and match transactions against existing entries in your General Ledger. Unmatched transactions can be categorized with one click. Month-end reconciliation confirms your books match your actual bank statement — in minutes rather than hours. For automatic daily bank transaction sync, connect QuickBooks, ZohoBooks, or FreshBooks to your account.
Can Meet SIGNEXA handle multiple sales tax rates?
Yes. Configure multiple tax rates by state, county, and product category. The correct rate applies automatically to every invoice based on the billing address and the product's tax classification. Monthly Sales Tax Liability and Tax Summary reports give you the exact figures to file with each jurisdiction.
How does the accounting module connect to job cost tracking?
Every invoice revenue, material expense, vendor payment, and timesheet labor cost connects to the job it came from. The Job Cost report shows you: revenue billed, materials consumed, labor logged, overhead allocated, and the resulting gross margin per job ticket. This is the report that tells you whether your most common job types are actually profitable — or whether you've been subsidizing them unknowingly.
Does the accounting module handle payroll?
Meet SIGNEXA calculates gross pay from timesheet data and exports a clean CSV for your payroll provider. Tax withholding, W-2 filing, and direct deposit are handled by your payroll processor (Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.) — not inside Meet SIGNEXA. The payroll expense can be entered as a journal entry in your Chart of Accounts to keep your P&L accurate.
